You are only one workout away from a good
mood
Fitness, fortunately has never
been something I have struggled with. Working out is fun for me and I keep it
that way with variety. To build the best body you can build, you must
find the best balance that works for you. However, with the daily grind finding
time to workout can be overlooked or forgotten when other opportunities present
themselves. Consistently, I hear from people. "I don't have the
time." My response is always you make time for what is important to you.
Whether it be waking up earlier or recording your favorite television show to
watch at a later time. Fitness has to be a priority or you will only keep
failing. It's time to stop having to start over. When you feel like giving up,
remember why you started!
Beachbody has provided me with
the ability to have consistent workouts at my finger tips. Instead of packing a
bag, going to the gym and then making the trip home. All I do now is pop in
that days DVD and hit play. Beachbody has made fitness that simple. My first
encounter with a Beachbody program was the 21 Day Fx which consists of a meal
plan and a workout plan. Instead of counting calories, all you have to do is
fill the food group specified containers and you are on your way. The workouts
are awesome because not only do they balance cardio and strength training, but
they also have active recovery days with yoga and pilates. It is only 30
minutes each day. Everyone can find 30 minutes in their day to better
themselves and better their quality of life. If you want to learn more about
the how the 21 day fix made improving my life easy let me know!
Now my fitness journey
continues with mixing the 21 day meal plan and workouts with Piyo. Piyo is
another beachbody workout that is all about defining yourself. Personally, I
love hot yoga and at my last assignment there was no where I could take
classes, then I learned about Piyo. Piyo takes the muscle sculpting of pilates
and combines it with the flexibility of yoga and non stop fluid movement. Piyo
takes those longer held poses and adds a dynamic aspect to it speeding up your
results in the process. Piyo is another great workout because it can be done by
people of all fitness levels and each DVD has someone doing modified poses for
those that cannot follow the instructor. With Piyo you get 8 workouts on 3 DVDs
and monthly calendar organizing what workout you do on what day. Piyo makes it
foolproof and allows anyone the ability to improve their health and fitness.
Like the 21 day fix, Piyo also has a clean eating program that lays out the
amount of calories you should be eating, fuels your body and keeps you
nourished throughout your busy day. At the end of my second round with the 21
day fix, I was ready to add something else to my routine and Piyo has been the
best addition for me.
Currently, I am completing
Insanity Max 30 with Shaun T. This program was something that I knew was going
to be tough and push me but I had no idea how much. This program is a
completey different system, you go as hard as you can, for as long as you can
until you have to take a break which is called your "Max Out Time."
Then you take a moment, gather yourself and get right back in there. This
program is as much physical as it is mental. It is amazing how Shaun T just
knows what you need when you need it. Just when you are about to give up he
pushes you and somehow you just keep going. I am finishing month one of the two
month program and already I am seeing serious results.
