My Transformation

21 Day Fix: The Start of My Transformation

This is my transformation from completing Beachbody's 21 Day Fix. This was my first program I completed and fell absolutely in love with it. This program was awesome because you can keep repeating it while still getting results!

The 21 Day Fix has an easy meal plan one follows by filling colored containers with your daily intake versus having to count calories (which I loved). It truly made eating clean simple and easy. It is truly where people see their results. Nutrition is 80% of this and you have to get your nutrition on point. This is the program to start with to do that.

Also, the 21 day fix is compromised of 30 minute workouts seven days a week with active recovery days. The workouts were diverse including cardio, weight training, pilates and yoga. These workouts utilized multiple muscle group training so one could burn more calories in just 30 minutes. They are great if you are busy but effective if you are looking to get results.

From 21 Day Fix to Piyo
When I was ready to continue on with the 21 Day Fix but wanted an added push I then started Piyo as well. I did this by adding Piyo to my evening workout and completing 21 day fix double workouts in the morning. Loving hybrid cross workouts between both programs!

This was awesome because I started and ended my day with fitness which really helped me to get one step closer to my goals. I loved the emphasis on core strength. It really pushed me to not only get lean but to improve strength. The core is your body's powerhouse and you need to maintain it.

Piyo also works really well for people who need a lower impact workout but want results. So if you have an injury and need an effective workout then Piyo is it. Chalene keeps you moving, keeps you motivated and shows some awesome ways to modify while still being effective.

Insanity Max 30: The Journey Truly Begins

Here are my Insanity Max 30 Results. This program was a 60 day intense program that incorporated dynamic cardio and core with every move. This program was amazing honestly! It truly pushes you mentally and physically. The concept is the  "max out" which means you go as hard as you can for as long as you can and then when you cannot do one more rep you max out. That's when you stop, take a quick break, and then keep pushing forward.

This program enabled me to really start to enjoy cardio again. I hate running honestly and the only type of cardio I have enjoyed was cycling. This program really helped me to get lean. I lost 6 pounds just just the 60 days. It really jump started me to improving my core strength. This program is the ultimate program when you really want a challenge!

Two Years Later: How this has become a journey not a fad

Ever wonder how someone stays on track, stops falling off the wagon and actually maintaining their health and fitness goals? Time. Patience. Consistency. Trusting the process that is living a healthier lifestyle. Now, two years later, I have conquered significant health issues. I started this journey being borderline pre-diabetic, being over-weight, being depressed, anxious and lacking motivation for life. Now there has been a true transformation that I call HEALTHY MENTALITY.

Transformations aren't just physical. Too often we focus on the number on the scale, we focus on the pants size, the dress size. The nonsense honestly. Because a number should never define who or what you are. Yes, our weight matters in terms of our health. But so does our mindset, you have to be strong mentally as much as you are physically to be on a real health and fitness journey.

Each month, I commit to a program, I commit to weekly meal plans that are of a variety but that are simple meal plans because I too am busy. Also, I commit to my personal development, I pick 2 books a month to read, I listen to podcasts in the car and no longer waste my time with negativity. This is my foundation for my transformation that has enabled me to be strong, healthier and happier without ever getting back on the wagon because I don't need to be on any wagon.

Another huge part to my transformation, is following and participating in online health and fitness groups. Yes, as a coach now, my job is to run them BUT my job has always and will always be to remain a day one challenger remembering how far I have come. I participate daily in the groups, I add value, I post and I support my friends. I rise to the occasion and when my weeks are insanely busy, I still step up and make sure checking into the groups are a priority because that support system is HUGE for being able to maintain my results.

Since starting this journey, I have completed the 21 Day Fix, PiYo, Insanity Max 30, 21 Day Fix Extreme, 22 Minute Hard Corps, Cize, Hammer and Chisel, Country Heat and Core De Force. All in two years! I want to be on the front line for you, do the programs, have my own personal transformation, so that I can give you personal experience. I will tell you 100% honestly what I like, don't like and what I feel is beneficial for your goals.

This is a journey, not a destination, it's just better together.
