Holiday Survival! The countdown continues :)

Happy Monday everyone!

Honestly, lately, I have been in survival mode....ever since my Halloween binge candy eating accident...well let's be real 3 day binge fest I realized that it's that time of the year that excuses are easy. I am just like everyone else. This is the time of the year that I travel most, spend more money traveling to be with family, sacrifice too much time and normally that

means we sacrifice our health and fitness. But I know this is crap and that I am just making excuses. I know being able to not only lose my weight last year but keeping it off for the last year that if you have a DESIRE to achieve your personal goals and are MOTIVATED then nothing will get in the way.

Each day I have people tell me that they want to lose weight, they want to achieve their goals but yet they can't commit....I used to beat myself up over why people wouldn't commit. Honestly, it all comes down to the fact that they want to make a change but they aren't ready to make a change. Until you are ready to make a change for yourself, you will always be your biggest limiting factor. But, each day, I work with success stories. People who are losing the weight, doing their daily workouts, eating cleaner and getting REAL results that last.

So what sets apart those who achieve their goals and those who don't? There are a few factors:

1. WHY- Ask yourself why are you looking to lose the weight, to make the change, why now, why are you ready? This has to be the force that drives you to make the changes necessary to improve your health so that you can run with your children or so that you don't end up having a heart attack at 50. If YOU want to make the changes then you will.

3. COMMITMENT: Yes those are commit to setting out to achieve their goals are the ones who succeed. These are the people who are willing to do whatever it takes. Those are the people getting their workouts in at 11 pm on a Friday night because they've spent too much time giving up and are ready to stop being the one who QUITS. Those who commit go all in and complete their programs from start to finish just as the program intended it to be. These are the people who achieve their goals.

4. NUTRITION- Yes....you cannot workout a bad diet. Good try. I failed at it too. You must follow your nutritional plan that comes with your program. You have to make an effort in the kitchen to eat cleaner, to put less processed crap into your body to see results. 80% of achieving your health and fitness goals is nutrition. Sorry to break your heart but it's true. So what I do is follow the 80-20 rule. I eat clean 80% of the time, drink my daily water intake, have 1-2 treats during the week and never miss a workout.

5. FAITH-Honestly, this has been a huge factor in my success over the last year enduring such tragedies yet not falling apart and returning back to the over-weight person I was last year that was in dire need to make a change for my health. Those who are of faith believe that their dreams are not dreams, that they are a direct results of their destiny. They will be successful in achieving their health and fitness goals, they know that there will be setbacks, but their belief will carry them through. Everyone is tested at some point in their life, and their faith may be shaken, but if you commit, you push, you excel in your setbacks you will achieve progress. Have faith in yourself, in the process, in your program and know you will be successful because you deserve it.

WOULD YOU LIKE A REASON TO NO LONGER NEED NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS? HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO INTO 2016 HEALTHIER, HAPPIER, LIGHTER AND MORE FREE?

Imagine for a second....how much better you would feel this holiday season if you had someone helping you learn how to handle the holiday stress, the traveling, the shopping with more energy. How much better would this holiday season be if you could visit your friends and family and be able to work less hours? Have more energy? All by working out 30 minutes a day and replacing one meal with superfoods?

Nutrition is the source of our fuel for our body so if feed ourselves with crap we are going to feel like crap? We have to make an effort. Start with  breakfast, get your metabolism going and watch your energy levels skyrocket. Honestly, I can TOTALLY feel a difference in my body and how I feel when I get my daily workout in and stick to my nutrition. It truly is the missing factor for so many people to live better with more quality.

I know you are reading this....thinking sure she's fit she doesn't get it...but I was you, last year, in a dark depressive state fighting my anxiety with food. Sleeping longer, working more, enjoying life less each day. But it was the support and accountability of a group that provided me daily motivation to make these changes. To learn better habits. It taught me everything I needed to know about how to make this a lifestyle, not a fad, not a diet, not a band-aid. There has been no yo-yo dieting since I started this journey.

Last year, I actually finished my health and fitness journey over the time between Thanksgiving until Christmas while still being able to eat my aunts sugar cookies. So how did I do it? How doe this work? I am going SHARE all of that with YOU!!!!
